Bee blood will have white stains formed on the cell, due to precipitation of protein. If it is 100% nectar, such white precipitation will not form.
Put the tube on ice. Transfer all tubes to a freezer at the end of the bleeding operation. The samples should be stable for 1-2 years under -20 degrees C.
